Day 66: [ ], Sturdivant, and Anne
[ ] objects, but Sturdivant and Anne plow right ahead to read Rebecca's journal. Today's 100-word story in the serial novel Centenary.
66: [ ], Sturdivant, and Anne
- You guys, this isn’t right, reading it. It’s an invasion, a betrayal.
- She’s dead, [ ]. Bailey wouldn’t come back with me, but he said to read her journal.
- How did he get it, Sturdivant?
- Get this, Anne: It came to him from Ruth, somehow. Don’t know how, or why Ruth had it. Don’t know, don’t care. Here, just read it.
- You can’t read it. It’s hers, it’s private. Give it to me, I’ll read it, alone, and tell you anything we need to know.
- That’s almost as funny as your name, [ ]. Not happening. Here, Anne - take it, read it out loud.
