Day 70: [ ], Anne, and Sturdivant
Anne is being about as direct as she can be -- but still, she's not getting through to [ ]. Today's 100-word story in the serial novel Centenary.
[ ], ANNE, and STURDIVANT
- Don’t dismiss me, Anne
- Dear, it can’t be. I KNOW.
- Careful, you two.
- What the fuck is going on? Anne? Sturdivant?
- Listen, I’ve pointed you, I’ve given you signs, and you come back with Steve Reich? Music? Don’t be so god-damn romantic.
- What are you talking about?
- What did Bailey find in the valise? Why did he leave so suddenly? Tell us. Now.
- Ask Sturdivant. He went to see him. He came back with Rebecca’s journal.
- Dear, think this through. What does Bailey know? What did he tell you? What aren’t you telling us?
- Fuck off.
- That’s not helping you.
