Day 62: Bailey
Before dawn, Bailey begins to see, and has an epiphany. Today in Centenary, the serial novel unfolding in 100-word stories from Living Well Towers.
62: BAILEY
July 30: Walking San Clemente Strand:
“Before the squealing terrors confined to their strollers,
before the morning joggers,
before the longhairs surfing their longboards,
before the lacquered nails and swallow tattoos sipping lattes,
before the shirtless muscle men and their beach bunnies,
before the beach volleyball nets are strung high,
before the Amtrak and Metrolink trains rumble through,
before sunrise: a full harvest moon hanging just above the horizon, a cordon of moonlight setting a tranche of the Pacific aglow, a dawning: For me, for my purpose and intent, for a new day, another day, a new place, another place.”
