Day 96: Eli and Anne
Eli tried hard. Really hard. Anne was impervious. Or, was she? Today's 100-word story.
96: Eli and Anne
- You matter, Anne. Our child – he? she? -- will matter more to you, to me, than any of the Postinos or the lunatics who would eradicate them.
- Eli, I just cannot. I will not.
- What?
- I will not stay here, I will not let our child become a resident, a native-born citizen of -- here. I’m leaving, with Postino.
- What do you mean, with Postino.
- On the same plane, Eli. That’s all.
- I don’t know when I’ll make it back.
- I know.
- Or, if I’ll make it back.
- I know.
- To see you, again.
- I know.
- To see our child.
- I know.
